Planted in the 1860’s by Lake County settlers, our Diamond Hill olive grove produces a diversity of olives from some of the oldest trees in California. Our oil is a blend from the early varieties of French Redding Picholine, Spanish Sevillano, and the well known California Mission.
Whether it’s due to our Lake County Diamond Hill terroir with its special characteristics of rich, fertile volcanic soil at an elevation of nearly 1800′, or because its a blend of these old varietals, growers and experts alike say the quality of our oil is spectacular!
Grown naturally using only organic farming methods, our hand-picked olives are First Cold Pressed within hours of harvest to precise extra virgin olive oil standards. The oil is then gently filtered before being bottled in dark glass to preserve its exceptional characteristics.. We offer it for $37/bottle (375ml).
At Diamond Hill we think all of these factors contribute to imparting a well-balanced harmonious quality, intensely golden-amber color, delicate aroma, and deliciously wonderful combination of buttery smoothness and spicy peppery flavors that are so unique in our oil.
